Jude Law

Under Construction

A note on my notes: I've avoided complicating things with a number or star scale. My "Good" and "Not So Good" ratings simply indicate whether I recommend a film or not, based on my individual tastes in acting, direction, cinematography, etc. My notes explain why. These evaluations are not set in stone. I may change my mind about some of them. But this is what I think as of now.

Because I haven't seen them yet, the following movies aren't on this page:

  • Shopping (1994)
  • I Love You, I Love You Not (1996)
  • Bent (1997)
  • Music from Another Room (1998)
  • Final Cut (1998)
  • Love, Honour and Obey (2000)

Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil

Providing he did a little work on his American accent, this movie might have been much better if there had been more Jude Law in it. His character, a troubled bisexual hustler, got so little screen time that I was left quite mystified by his relationship with Kevin Spacey’s Jim Williams – and unwilling to spend any energy thinking about it.
